We're hands-on. Our venture studio model means our team builds, launches, and grows startup ideas all within Ruby Sky Ventures. Drawing from our collective experience in building and scaling startups, we drive the entire process from ideation to market launch, creating strong, scalable companies from the ground up. We do this by bringing together extraordinary people to ideate, refine, and validate businesses through research and design. Building great companies is challenging; and while most ideas will fail, we have developed an approach to launch the best ideas when we’ve built undeniable conviction that they can find success.

Mark Cooley
Co-Founder and Principal
Mark Cooley is a seasoned executive and technology strategist with over 20 years of experience. His career is marked by significant M&A and operational leadership across biotechnology, banking, and high tech, including successfully leading more than two dozen transactions, such as the recent $43 billion acquisition of a global biotech firm.

Driven by a passion for innovation, Mark founded Ruby Sky Ventures to apply his deep, hands-on experience in the startup ecosystem. He has been involved in countless startups, ranging from advising emerging companies and serving in executive roles at high-growth ventures to founding and successfully exiting his own businesses. This comprehensive understanding of the entire startup lifecycle, combined with his strategic prowess, directly informs Ruby Sky Ventures' in-house studio model.
